Garden Gourmet
Planting and harvesting fruits or vegetables is not, we admit, everybody's cup of tea. But during the growing season, many of us find it so convenient and so satisfying to choose certain fruits and vegetables from our own back yard, rather than a supermarket. You need not worry about how fresh your fruits, veggies or herbs will be - when you gathered them mere moments before preparing your meal. And, as a wise old gardener once said, it would be such a shame if taxes were the only thing ever raised on our own land.
Delicious Fruits
Our fruit bearing trees, bushes or plants include:
apples, apricots, blueberries, cherries, currants, gooseberry, grapes, honeyberry, kiwi vine, assorted melons, pears, plums, raspberries, rhubarb, saskatoons, strawberries and more.
Herbs
Sometimes the only thing that separates a good meal from a great meal is the use of fresh herbs or seasonings. We have a rather intriguing collection of unusual herbs. But our most requested herbs usually include: arugula, basil, chamomile, chives, cilantro, curry, dill, fennel, horehound, lavender, lemon balm, lovage, mint, oregano, pennyroyal, rosemary, sage, sorrel, sweet marjoram, tarragon, thyme, watercress, winter savoury and others.
Vegetables
We have terrific tomato plants and vegetable bulbs (garlic, onion and shallots) as well as a tasteful alphabet of vegetable seeds - from asparagus to zucchini and all the other vegetables in between, such as artichoke, beans, beets, carrots, cauliflower, cucumber, gourmet lettuce blends, peppers, spinach and many others.
Accessories
We carry special soils, trays. plant supports and anything else you may need when growing from seed. In season, we also carry flower seeds and bulbs, as well as several types of soil enrichment.
