My mom, Sophie Schmidt, is 91. She lives in Elk Point at the Heritage Lodge and is a bright and shinning jewel. She suffered a heart attack on March 25 and was rushed to the Misericordia Hospital. There a wonderful cardiologist looked after her for the night and then the next day she she became Dr. Al-Kurtass’s patient. He quickly ordered an angiogram at the Mazenkowski Center. Although she was very bruised from a bleed she went through it all LIKE A TROPPER! I on the other hand was not such a trooper! I would like to give a BIG BUNCH OF HUGS to DR. AL-KURTASS AND ALL THE NURSES AND CARE PEOPLE ON 3rd Floor CARDIAC UNIT. THE NURSES WERE EXPERTS AND THERE EXPLANATIONS WERE CLEAR AND SOOOO COMFORTING!
